Infrathin is an exhibition identity designed for the University of the Arts London, Camberwell's 'work-in-progress'. The exhibition's name reflects the translational journey from an initial idea to an outcome.
The name was inspired by Marcel Duchamp's word for the in-between.
We viewed the work-in-progress exhibition as the 'in-between' of the work being made to produce the outcome—the space between a gunshot and a bullet hole. The minor interval, a gap in between, is where the intervention occurs.
We created a brand identity that reflects the diversity of the three groups in BA Graphic Design Year 3, being the exhibition's core. The Identity captures a feeling of progress, exploration, and experimentation. Its visual elements are abstract and erratic, reflecting the theory of the unknown and the possibility of discovery.
